SB 79 Still Pending in the Assembly
Please send the one-click email below opposing SB 79 to Los Angeles’ State Assembly delegation:
L.A. State Assembly Delegation! Vote No on SB 79!
Remember to add your NAME and ADDRESS / BLOCK / NEIGHBORHOOD where indicated.
The letter urges members of the Los Angeles State Assembly Delegation, who are about to vote on SB 79, to respect the City Council, the Mayor and the City Attorney, all of whom voted to oppose SB 79. It also calls for full support of Los Angeles’ State-Certified and Compliant 2021–2029 Housing Element, which includes provisions and entitlements for transit-oriented development.
If you want to personalize the message or if one-click doesn’t work for you, you can find a copy and paste version here.
You’re writing to Assembly Members or to Chiefs of Staff, if Assembly Members don’t take email comments directly.

Streetlights and Copper Wiring
We continue to receive reports of streetlight outages for entire blocks in Windsor Square, many of which may be due to copper wire theft. Neighbors have reported these outages via MyLA311, and the Windsor Square Association is following up with the Bureau of Street Lighting and our Councilmember’s office to prioritize repairs.
The Windsor Square Association (WSA) is actively addressing this issue. Our newest board member, Guy Nemiro, is collecting outage reports to share with CD13 Field Deputy Mark Fuentes.
You can help by reporting outages via MyLA311. Simply visit windsorsquare.org/report-
Forward the confirmation email you receive, including the service request number, to [email protected] and [email protected] to help us track and resolve these issues faster. Additionally please call Mark directly at 213-207-3015 to report the outage. Leave a voicemail message if there is no answer.
The more reports we submit, the more urgently the Bureau of Street Lighting will prioritize repairs. Let’s work together to restore light and safety to our community!
Crime and Public Safety Update
The Windsor Square Association has published an updated version of our periodic security tips letter, which can be found at windsorsquare.org/security-tips. In light of the ongoing higher rate of burglaries and, unfortunately, street robberies in Windsor Square and Hancock Park, we strongly encourage all residents to read our updated tips on how to keep your home and family safe.
